gull break

While the rest of the Ely Tenners stayed to stroke a hedgehog, Rich and myself drove into Wells for provisions. We couldn't resist a few minutes watching the gulls in the harbour- a loud contrast to the quiet of Holkham as they scrapped for handouts from the tourists and fishermen.

Later on at Titchwell, a lone gull had a more elegant method of feeding, gracefully lifting and plungeing for smallfry while a Curlew glowed in the afternoon light. Further along the path a Godwit curled its bill tip after every muddy morsel it caught.
